Hello, I'm a master's student in the Barbar lab. I completed my undergraduate degree here at Oregon State, where I graduated with an H.B.S. in Biochemistry and Biophysics and Education (and a minor in chemistry). This course of study allowed me to teach high school chemistry for one year and complete an honors thesis investigating the interbacterial interactions of plant pathogens. Outside of OSU, I've also studied circadian rhythms and alcohol addiction, along with patient outcomes following aortic dissection.

My work in the Barbar lab, supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, has focused on both on the dynein-dynactin complex, and the intrinsically disordered protein ASCIZ. However, I will be abroad this year, conducting structural biology research in Belgium as a Fulbright fellow!
